Background:
Respirable Crystalline Silica (RCS) remains suspended for many hours, and permeates every area within working quarries.
Problem:
Staff monitoring and controlling quarry processes operating inside control rooms are in many cases located within very short distances from RCS generating processes.
Solution:
Mideco’s Bat Stations take air from atmosphere, passes it through 3 stages of filtration and then blows it into these rooms. This keeps the room under slight pressure, if the room is under pressure this prevents the air contaminated with RCS or similar entering.
