Dear Mideco customers, suppliers and friends

This year, financial year just concluded, Mideco fared well.

This was mostly as a result of a strong order intake (inclusive of both, a single large order plus a high quantity of smaller orders) and very competitive pricing provided by our suppliers.

While life is good here in Australia, Melbourne and at Mideco, we are aware that there are others in the world that do not fare well.

Klong Toey is a slum in Bangkok.  The Klong Toey Community Centre in Bangkok was started by an Australian couple Ash and Anji Barker.

It’s main project started as a day care centre for children whose parents worked and they had nowhere to go.

The day care centre has since progressed to a school as these children were also not getting any schooling.

220 children attend the centre each day and get sports, recreation, schooling and medical help. We believe they also get fed!! The children are then helped with employment opportunities when the time comes.

The most urgent need at the moment is funds to keep the Football Program running. It is also one of the most successful crime and drug prevention programs in the area.

Today, as a result of your support, Mideco gave them enough money to pay for a football coach for a year.
