Power
- RAC
Dust Collectors operate at a low differential pressure across the fabric. This means not as much energy and therefore kW are consumed in the main fan.
- RAC
Dust Collectors clean their bags by means of fan forced air being blown into them. Most other Dust Collectors use compressed air. These small fans consume much less energy and require very little maintenance when compared to compressors. These two features result in a reduction in carbon generation as well as a reduced cost of ownership.
Bag Life
- The reverse air cleaning is much less aggressive than pulse cleaning. Pulse cleaning shocks the bags resulting in mechanical fatigue of the bags. The Reverse Air cleaning and other features of these dust collectors virtually eliminate this mechanical fatigue. The result is Mideco RAC dust collectors regularly achieve 7 years + bag life.
Noise
The system comprises of a main fan as do all other dust collectors, and then a small reverse air fan and drive. These are easily silenced, making only minimal noise when in operation. By contrast, pulse cleaned dust collectors require the constant “Bang or Explosion” of the pulse system, which has been measured at up to 100dba @ 3 mts
- RAC Case
The standard RAC dust collector case is manufactured using Galvanised sheet steel. This protects both the External & Internal surfaces from corrosion and makes this unit suitable for all environments. The roof of the RAC dust collector is sloped, this benefits both External & Internally as there are no flat area’s for water or condensation to pool. The water just runs off the sloped surface to add to longer working life of the unit.
Maintenance
Due to the efficient yet simple design, the RAC dust collector has no requirement for special tools or trade skills to perform maintenance. RAC units can be re-bagged from the inside. This means the potential for dust to escape during this important & dusty process is greatly reduced.
Options
StainlessSteel or Special Coatings
Stainless Steel or Special Paint for harsh environmental conditions.
Media
RAC dust collectors can be configured with many different types of media depending on the specific requirements.
Heated
Reverse Air Cleaning/Insulation
Heating
the reverse air to 5°C above Dew Point, so that any moisture on the bag is dried off during the cleaning cycle to prevent crusting.
Insulation
is another option that can also be used to protect from condensation.
